Euthanasia and Aftercare
Euthanasia
At Vetcierge, we understand how difficult it is to say goodbye to your beloved pets. That's why we specialize in providing in-home euthanasia and hospice care services, focused on a peaceful and respectful transition for your furry friends. Our compassionate team is here to support you through this difficult time.
Knowing when to make the decision can be difficult. We will help review any questions and concerns prior to an appointment to guide you. But, if the goal is to allow our pets to pass away at home, in their sleep, surrounded by family -- the decision may need to be made before you're fully ready in order to avoid an emergency or decline.

Upon our arrival for the scheduled visit, please select an area where your pet feels at ease for us to prepare. Before administering any medications, we will fully explain the process and answer any questions.

The in-home euthanasia process involves a two injection technique. The first injection is a sedative to help induced a relaxed, restful and pain free state. Once comfortable and sedate, the second injection is administered which allows your pet to gently, peacefully and immediately pass away in their sleep.
Aftercare
For the aftercare of your pet, we partner with Final Gift Pet Memorial Center to manage arrangements. Final Gift provides options for private or communal cremation. With private cremation, you can expect to receive your pet’s ashes in about 1-2 weeks. If you opt for communal cremation, ashes will not be returned, and your pet will respectfully spread at Final Gift’s Pet Cemetery.

With either option, we can provide special memorials of your pet including clay paw impressions, ink nose and paw prints, fur clippings and more.
